As part of the 400th anniversary of the dedication of St. Peter's Basilica, the Fabric of St. Peter is presenting a new depiction of the Way of the Cross for Lent inside the basilica. It was unanimously selected after an international competition launched in December 2023, from among more than a thousand submissions from 80 countries. The Christian artist hopes that his paintings can serve as a way to enter more deeply into the Passion of Christ and the mystery of the Resurrection. Artist Manuel Andreas Dürr shares more about what he hopes his paintings will portray and the story he hopes to share through them. EWTN Vatican journalist Bénédicte Cedergren reports.
