American women... we need to talk. As a mom, the Lindsay Clancy trial has been an incredibly difficult case for me to watch—especially as women are coming out in droves to support a woman who violently killed her own three children.
The most horrifying part of this case is undoubtedly the reaction on social media, which turns out is still a pretty dark place. Today’s new "same Lindsay" trend has me sick and embarrassed as a woman.
How much further are we going to let people kill children in the name of "mental health?" It is high time we advocate for our most vulnerable- both our born and unborn children.
The Lindsay Clancy case has ignited a difficult conversation about postpartum mental health, personal responsibility, and how we understand a mother accused of killing her own children.
Yes, hormones exist.
Yes, postpartum depression is real.
No, these are not excuses for the harming of another life and you should be ashamed if you believe otherwise.
