In today’s Angelus reflection, Pope Leo XIV explains Jesus’s image of the narrow gate. While at first it may seem discouraging, the Pope reminds us that the Lord’s words are not meant to close us off, but to awaken our hearts.
Faith, he says, is not a matter of empty words or religious acts alone. True faith is lived when it becomes a criterion for our daily decisions, when it leads us to serve others, when it embraces justice and peace.
Just as Jesus himself entered the narrow gate of the Cross, so too are we called to love courageously and live our faith authentically.
