For me, it felt like a barrier between me and Jesus.

I was angry. I refused Communion. I thought I was taking a principled stand.

Then a priest told me gently:

“Please go and receive Jesus.”

That was the lesson.

Sometimes what we call zeal…
is pride.

And what we need is humility.
