Alex Kocman serves as the Director of Communications and Engagement at ABWE. His
work involves advancing the agency’s global work of spreading the gospel through
strategic communication efforts.
Alex holds an M.A. in Media and Communication Studies and a B.S. in Biblical Studies from
Liberty University. He has also served as an evangelism and apologetics instructor at
Liberty University Online from 2012-2014.
Alex is also a prolific writer, speaker, and author. He has contributed to Christian sites
such as 9Marks, The Gospel Coalition, and Founders Ministries. His writing often explores
the intersection of theology with culture and mission, emphasizing the symbiotic
relationship between sound doctrine and effective evangelism. He is the author of
Striving for the Faith: A Journey Through Philippians for Life on Mission and he coauthors Missions by the Book: How Theology and Missions Walk Hand-in-Hand which
examines the relationship between doctrine and missions methodology.
Alex hosts two podcasts with ABWE called The World View and Cloud of Witnesses and
he co-hosts a podcast called The Missions Podcast which delves into various aspects of
missions and evangelism.
Alex resides in York, Pennsylvania, with his wife and four children, and serves as an elder
and as staff at Faith Bible Fellowship Church.
