Fr. Yet this need draws us toward something deeper. Jesus reveals Himself as the wisest and best friend, one who deprives us of nothing and gives Himself entirely. In this parable, we are invited to see that salvation is not abstract—it is personal, healing, and found in divine friendship with Christ.
