MPs have rejected Lauren Edwards' Terminally Ill Adults Bill by 286 votes to 270, ending an attempt to force assisted suicide into law using the Parliament Act. Unlike the previous version of the bill, this one lost the backing of a Prime Minister, as Andy Burnham chose neutrality where Keir Starmer had voted in favour.
