This week on Vaticano, explore the inspiring lives of two young witnesses of faith: Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati and Saint Carlo Acutis. Frassati, born into a wealthy Turin family in 1901, lived only 24 years but dedicated himself tirelessly to the poor, his friends, and his Catholic commitments. Known as the “Man of the Beatitudes,” he combined his deep spirituality with social action, a love of the Eucharist, and joy-filled friendships. He was beatified in 1990 by Pope John Paul II and remains a model of Christian charity and youthful holiness.
Carlo Acutis, born in 1991, united his passion for technology with devotion to the Eucharist. By age 11 he had created a website cataloguing Eucharistic miracles, later developing an international exhibition. Despite his leukemia diagnosis, Carlo accepted suffering with serenity, offering it for the Church. He died in 2006 at 15, leaving behind a radiant example of faith, digital evangelization, and love for Christ in the Eucharist.
