Discover the powerful and inspiring story of the Virgin Martyrs Agape, Irene, and Chionia, commemorated on April 16th in the Church. These holy sisters lived during the brutal persecutions of Emperor Diocletian and chose Christ over life itself.

Orphaned at a young age, they dedicated themselves fully to God, rejecting marriage and earthly comforts. Guided by their spiritual father, Priest Zeno, they were prepared for the suffering to come. Strengthened by the encouragement of St. Anastasia the Deliverer from Potions, they courageously endured trials, temptations, and threats from powerful rulers.

Despite promises of wealth and marriage, the sisters boldly proclaimed Christ as their only Bridegroom. They endured humiliation, miraculous interventions, and ultimately martyrdom—Agape and Chionia by fire, and Irene by martyrdom after divine protection from defilement.

Their story is one of:
