Watch live as Pope Leo XIV arrives in Lourdes and prays at the Grotto of the Apparitions of Massabielle.

At the Grotto, the Holy Father will be welcomed by the Bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes and the Rector of the Sanctuary. Pope Leo XIV will spend time in silent prayer before the statue of the Virgin Mary, approach and touch the rock of the Grotto, and drink water from the Lourdes spring.

He will then receive a candle to place on the candelabrum, offer a prayer and present the Sanctuary with the Golden Rose. The prayer will conclude with the Lord’s Prayer and a blessing.

The Grotto of Massabielle is the place where the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette Soubirous in 1858.
