Blessed Yolanda of Poland, also known as Helena, was born into one of Europe's most saintly royal families. The daughter of King Béla IV of Hungary, niece of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, and sister of Saint Kinga, Yolanda devoted her life to God through charity, humility, and prayer.

Married to Boleslaus the Pious, Duke of Kalisz, Yolanda and her husband became known for their extraordinary generosity toward the poor and their deep Christian faith. After her husband's death, she entered religious life among the Poor Clares, joining her saintly sister Kinga in the service of Christ.
