Tomorrow the Church celebrates one of her greatest feasts—the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul. But before the celebration comes the Vigil: a day of prayer, penance, fasting, and spiritual preparation.

In this sermon, we reflect on the unique role of these two great Apostles whose martyrdom laid the foundation of the Church. St. Peter represents the stability of the Church, her governance, and fidelity to revealed truth. St. Paul represents the missionary spirit, carrying the Gospel to the ends of the world.

Together they teach every Catholic that authentic holiness begins with an interior life rooted in truth and charity before overflowing into courageous evangelization.
