A new chapter began in the more than 700-year history of the Vatican Gardens. What began as a large walled garden with lawns, wooded areas, vineyards, and orchards providing herbs, fruit, and vegetables for the papal household has reached a major milestone: The gardens are now cultivated entirely organically. It is part of a broader effort to put into practice the principles of Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si'. EWTN News Correspondent Brian Schumacher reports.
