"It's just business" is a line we borrowed from The Godfather, and Andrew Abela, PhD, would like to know why we let the mob define it. As founding dean of the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America, he built a school from the ground up on faith, natural law, and virtue, betting that good people would also make good business leaders. The bet is paying off: his graduates are getting hired fast, marrying years earlier than their peers, and paying off school debt in about six years instead of twenty. Recorded live at SENT Summit 2026 alongside the Fio app, Paul Kolker, Nick Bezner, and Jeff Schiefelbein landed Dr. Andrew as a surprise guest about an hour before the mics went on, and the conversation turned into pure BeatiDudes gold.

In his book Super Habits, Dr. Andrew explains that virtues aren't just a set of standards; they're muscles you already have that just haven't been worked yet. He walks through his visual map of Aquinas's treatise on the virtues as a diagnostic tool for whatever you're struggling with, explains why patience technically didn't make the list, and dives into eutrapelia, the virtue of good leisure, along with the vice of having too little fun (which may now be the show's official mission statement).

He closes with a challenge every busy man needs to hear: if a college president can find a daily holy hour, what's your excuse?
