As the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope nears its conclusion, Holy Doors are closing at Rome’s major basilicas, including St. Mary Major, St. John Lateran, and St. Paul Outside the Walls. The closures began on December 25 at St. Mary Major, followed by St. John Lateran on December 27, and St. Paul Outside the Walls on the Feast of the Holy Family. Pope Leo XIV will conclude the Ordinary Jubilee by closing the Holy Door at St. Peter’s Basilica on January 6, 2026, the Solemnity of the Epiphany.
