Thanks to generations of contraceptive use it's now not only desirable to use in popular culture but also seen as absolutely necessary. A pillar of modernity you might say. God's plan for family life has it's back to the wall. Most Catholics will say 'no big deal' or 'The Holy Spirit has guided me' and employ some sort of contraceptive method in order to fit in with modern expectations.
Yet with a return to tradition among younger Catholics, especially after having seen their parents stay together, survive and not prevent babies, they too are looking into the traditional teaching and documents of Holy Mother Church. Since our living leadership is quiet on the matter it is often a case of researching and seeking out private opinion to get to the bottom of what the Almighty has revealed to His people.

When it comes to sex and rules, it's almost inevitable that both knickers and y-fronts are going to get twisted. Its maybe best if you are resolved to contracept, to watch something else or at the least be prepared to suck it up every now and then. I've had to do it a fair amount myself in preparing all this. It dissipates out of me after a while. Y-fronts are still twisted though.

It's difficult to read older church teachings, bible passages and conclude God is laissez faire on the matter. Onan is killed with out warning for pulling out (which has a 15% failure rate) yet today's Catholic's are handed out NFP training as part of marriage prep. (5% failure rate). Both parties want sex but not children. Something about the NFP-ology doesn't add up. If I was Onan I'd certainly want a retrial.
