The Church’s centuries-old tradition of sacred music is being showcased in Rome as choirs, musicians, and pilgrims from around the world gather for the International Festival of Sacred Music and Art. Throughout November, the festival celebrates and promotes the Church's rich musical heritage. Bringing together renowned musicians, choirs, and orchestras from across the globe, the foundation also raises funds for major restoration projects at historic religious sites. The motto of the festival is “l’arte salva l’arte” — art saves art. Whether believers or not, the aim is that through an encounter with beauty, people may be drawn closer to God. EWTN Vatican journalist Bénédicte Cedergren reports.
