Matthew 10: 24 - 33

“Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell” (Mt 10:28). This episode shows us how the devil acts and how he distorts the truth. He, the devil, even gets the Jews to accuse Jesus, God made man, of acting through the power of the devil. Satan is truly “the father of lies”, as Jesus calls him. The way to be safe from the devil's clutches is to be sincere and honest. Satan operates in darkness. He cannot act in the light of God.
