Happy Feast of St. Joseph!

Of all the saints I’ve gotten to know over the years, Joseph keeps surprising me.

He never says a word in Scripture.
He spends his whole life in obscurity.
He raises the Son of God in a small town where nobody’s paying attention.

And somehow…he becomes one of the most powerful intercessors in Heaven. Patron of the universal Church. Terror of demons. The man God trusted with everything He had.

I think a lot of us are living a version of Joseph’s life. Ordinary days. Quiet work. Wondering if it really matters.

And Joseph’s life answers that question: It matters more than you know.

When the angel called him “Joseph, son of David,” it was a reminder that even in the daily grind, Joseph carried the dignity of a king. Washing dishes, working long days, caring for his family — he did it all knowing who he was in God’s eyes.

And God wants to remind you who you are, too.
