My parents came over after a busy week recently, and I’m cooking, cleaning, grabbing drinks… doing all the things. Finally they just looked at me and said, “Dude. Sit down. Be with us.”

It was a good reminder. There are people in your life who don’t just love what you do for them. They love you. Your presence is a gift.

And the Lord wants that too.

The Lord didn’t say, “If you love me, we’ll come to you and get a bunch of stuff done.” He said, “We will dwell with you.”

Man, we need to practice that.
Close the laptop.
Get out of sixth gear.
Be with the people you love.
Be with the Lord.
