The Jimmy Akin Podcast | Episode 107 (October 26, 2026)

A 2014 letter from former pope Benedict XVI is circulating online. In it, he answers questions about Adam and Eve, original sin, and intelligent aliens—and what he says will anger a lot of people.

In this episode, Jimmy Akin checks whether the letter is real, compares it with Benedict’s other post-resignation letters, and weighs the credibility of the professor who published it. He then explains what authority the letter has and walks through Benedict’s answers on polygenism, original sin, extraterrestrial life, and the cosmic scope of Christ’s victory.
