A possible new Eucharistic miracle has been reported at the Parish of the Child Jesus, the cathedral church of the Diocese of Santa Rosa de Lima in Guatemala. According to the diocese, a priest noticed a teenage student attempting to remove a consecrated Host from his mouth during Communion. Following Church procedures, the Host was placed in water—where it reportedly failed to dissolve and later developed reddish stains that could be blood.
Several clergy and laypeople observed the Host, and the pastor presented photographs to the bishop, who is expected to oversee further investigation. The diocese emphasizes that the event cannot yet be declared a miracle and must be approached with prudence while the necessary discernment and scientific study take place.
