Today we celebrate the great Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, the two Fathers of Rome whose martyrdom established the Roman Church upon the witness of their blood. This sermon reflects on Acts 12, the imprisonment and miraculous deliverance of St. Peter, the martyrdom of both apostles in Rome, and Dom Prosper Guéranger's moving account of their final hours.

The homily also reflects on the importance of prayer during times of trial within the Church, encouraging Catholics to imitate the perseverance, courage, and fidelity of Saints Peter and Paul with the upcoming SSPX consecrations.
