A man who once considered becoming a priest instead is dedicating his life to serving dozens of special needs children and adults in Brazil. Many of the residents at the Catholic Community of the Child Jesus survived an abortion, only to be abandoned by their parents. Antonio Carlos Tavares de Mello takes care of around 100 children and adults in two homes. He says of his work: “I am the happiest man in the world.”
