The best-known exorcist in the English-speaking world has been asked to go quiet for a year, and his archbishop won't say why. Steve Cunningham of Sensus Fidelium, who has published Fr. Chad Ripperger's talks for a decade, joins Joe on what Denver actually said, what LifeSite says, and what happens to hundreds of hours of recorded teaching. Plus: a Vatican cardinal says Pope Leo's encyclical made the "Spirit of Assisi" ordinary Church teaching, one week before the Pope is due in Assisi for the 40th anniversary of the 1986 interreligious prayer meeting. Mark Lambert of Regina Unscripted reads the four sentences in question.

Denver says Archbishop James Golka "asked Fr. Ripperger to consider a one-year fast from public speaking and interviews," that he "readily agreed," and that they "will review the arrangement together" next year. He "remains a priest in good standing." No reason was given. Joe and Steve sort what is documented from what is single-sourced from what is speculation: Golka's June remark about "Catholic YouTubers who are just trying to make money," the removal of Msgr. Rossetti in Washington, the Shawn Ryan and Tucker Carlson interviews, and the claim that Denver already restricted Father in 2025.

Cardinal George Koovakad, prefect for Interreligious Dialogue, said in Rome on October 7 that with paragraph 223 of Magnifica Humanitas, "27 October 1986 enters the ordinary teaching of the Magisterium." Mark Lambert walks through what the paragraph says, what "ordinary magisterium" means, how Ratzinger criticized Assisi 1986 and Benedict XVI changed it in 2011, and whether a Pope two weeks out of lung surgery should be in Assisi next Tuesday.
