Did you know that Salamanca, Spain, has TWO cathedrals built right next to each other?

The Old Cathedral dates back to the 12th century, while construction on the New Cathedral began in 1513 and took more than 200 years to complete!

Salamanca was also one of the great intellectual centers of Catholic Europe, home to one of the oldest universities in the world, where generations of theologians, philosophers, and scholars helped shape Western civilization.

We stopped outside these incredible cathedrals during our pilgrimage through Spain to share a little Catholic history!
