Because God is outside time, and can start with His "Final Cause", Divine Providence can be seen as reversing the temporal sequence of Cause and Effect. A striking example of this would be thinking of Jesus' Passion having been done to enable the Immaculate Conception to take place. Hence, imagine Jesus at the 4th Station of the Cross saying to His Blessed Mother "Mother, I do this for you!"
