As we mark the one-year anniversary since Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected Pope Leo XIV, we look back at how the first U.S. born pope has led the universal Church with a particular emphasis on peace and unity. We speak with Monsignor Roger Landry, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in the U.S., and The Catholic Association's Ashley McGuire to reflect back on Pope Leo XIV's first year - including how his missionary background has shaped his papacy and what moments have stood out the most. Father Rob Hagan, O.S.A., a personal friend of Pope Leo XIV's and fellow Augustinian friar, shares how St. Augustine has shaped the Holy Father's papacy so far and how the gift of community has guided his leadership. Mark Irons shares more details from his recent interview with Pope Leo XIV's older brother, John Prevost, including more insight into the pope's childhood upbringing and the path that ultimately led to the papacy. Roselle Reyes speaks with everyday American Catholics for their initial impressions of Pope Leo XIV one year into his pontificate. And we take a look at Pope Leo XIV's endearing encounters with his flock so far - and what we can learn about Our Holy Father from how he engages with the faithful.
