At the end of life, there is a moment of complete clarity.
The saints tell us that everything will be seen as it truly was — where we loved, and where we failed to love. Saint John of the Cross taught that, in the end, we will be judged on love alone.
As Christians, we often think of love only in terms of duty: loving God and loving our neighbor. But because we are made by Love and for love, our entire life is meant to flow with love — even in the smallest, most ordinary things.
When love is properly ordered — God first, then others, then the gifts and joys of life — everything else falls into place. Peace increases. Joy deepens. Even our daily work and recreation become lighter and more meaningful.
This reflection is an invitation to examine the order of our loves, to let God restore what is disordered, and to allow His love to flow through every part of our lives.
