We look at how human desire is meant to be ordered and transformed by grace, not merely suppressed, and why frequent Confession and Holy Communion are essential weapons in spiritual warfare.

You’ll hear vivid Desert Father stories (including Abba’s 40 days in a cave and a cautionary tale about extreme asceticism), plus pastoral counsel for today: how to endure thoughts without consenting, why the “coward is the victor” (St. Philip Neri) when fleeing temptation, and how humility + Eucharist cultivate true chastity. We also reference St. John Cassian, St. John Climacus (The Ladder of Divine Ascent), and the communion of angels and saints who strengthen us in battle.
