In this video, we remember the Holy Martyr Athenodorus, a monastic saint from Syrian Mesopotamia, who lived a life of deep faith and spiritual dedication from his youth. After being denounced as a Christian, Athenodorus was arrested and subjected to severe tortures under the local governor Uus (or a regional authority of the period).

Despite his suffering, miracles accompanied his martyrdom, leading many pagan witnesses to convert to the Christian faith. His steadfast confession of Christ and miraculous witness culminated in his martyrdom by beheading in the year 304, during the era of early Church persecutions.

This short life of Saint Athenodorus invites us to reflect on courage, holiness, and unwavering dedication to Christ amid trials.
