St Vincent Pallotti (1795–1850) was a priest, mystic, apostle of charity, and visionary saint who transformed the role of the laity in the Catholic Church—a full century before Vatican II.
Declared by Pope Pius XII as the pre-founder of Catholic Action, St Vincent Pallotti believed that every Catholic is called to the apostolate, not only clergy or religious. His life and teachings reshaped Catholic evangelization, social justice, and missionary work across the world.
