Catholics around the world celebrated the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with Pope Leo leading Mass and the Angelus in Castel Gandolfo. In his homily, the Holy Father drew attention to artistic depictions of Mary at the time of her Assumption, saying that while such imagery may seem to contradict the realities of aging, it points to a deeper truth about life and true beauty. Pope Leo also asked for Mary's intercession for communities in need of consolation and renewed hope. EWTN News' Brian Schumacher reports from Rome.
