Previously serving as the academy’s chancellor, Monsignor Pegoraro holds a licentiate in moral theology and completed postgraduate studies in bioethics. As the pope continues to identify artificial intelligence as a major challenge for humanity, this appointment signals a deepening focus on bioethics and emerging technologies. Fr.
