Pope Leo will lead a Vigil for Peace on Saturday evening, April 11, at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, beginning at 6 p.m. Rome time (noon Eastern). The vigil will be guided by meditations from early Church Fathers and a candle-lighting using fire from the Lamp of Peace from Assisi, with faithful from different continents taking part. Everyone, whether in person or following from home, is invited to join. Almost a year on from his election, one thing is clear: Pope Leo is not letting up in calling for the creation of a “new world of peace and unity.” EWTN Vatican journalist Bénédicte Cedergren has more.
