The Catholic organization Aid to the Church in Need presented its 2025 Religious Freedom report. In an audience held with members of the pontifical foundation of Aid to the Church in Need International, Cardinal Parolin noted the rising hostilities and violence "against those who hold different convictions, including Christians." The Executive President of Aid to the Church in Need says freedom of religion is not just a privilege—it’s a human right. "And we just see the situation worsening in the world," she added. Cardinal Parolin agrees, suggesting that freedom of religion fosters vibrant communities where people of different faiths can live together, contribute to society, and engage in dialogue without fear of persecution. EWTN Vatican Correspondent Valentina Di Donato reports.
