Book 1, Chapter 21
Prostrate and at Dawn
Lord, Most High, I give Thee thanks and praise for Thy immutable Being, Thy infinite perfections, and for having created me out of nothing. I acknowledge myself as Thy creature and the work of Thy hands. I bless Thee, adore Thee, give Thee honor, magnificence, and Divinity as the supreme Lord and Creator of myself and all that exists. I raise up my spirit and place it in Thy hands, offering myself with profound humility and resignation to Thee and ask Thee to dispose of me according to Thy will during this day and during all the days of my life. Teach me to fulfill whatever would be to Thy greater pleasure.
