As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, the Saint John Paul II National Shrine in Washington, D.C., has opened a new exhibition highlighting his legacy. Titled “A New Birth of Freedom: St. John Paul II in America,” the exhibit explores the late pontiff’s reflections on documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. Stephen White, executive director of the shrine, joins to share more about the exhibition, the inspiration behind it, what visitors can expect to see, and the one lesson he hopes they take away from St. John Paul II’s vision for America.
