Pope Leo: Confront violence and crime with the Gospel

On Feb. 15, Pope Leo XIV visited the Roman parish of Santa Maria Regina Pacis in Ostia Lido, a seaside community about 16 miles southwest of Rome. In his homily, he acknowledged local challenges, citing violence that affects young people, the spread of substance abuse, and criminal organizations that exploit individuals for unjust gain.
