We recently had the privilege of witnessing something most Catholics rarely see: two Catholic religious sisters making their final vows and giving their lives completely to Jesus. In this video, we share our experience attending the perpetual profession of two sisters from the Queenship of Mary Community in Ottawa—and what their witness taught us about religious life, sacrifice, and the call to become saints.

One of the sisters, Sr. Maryam Josephine, has been a close friend of ours for many years. When we learned that she and another sister would be making their final vows, we made the quick trip from Saskatoon to Ottawa to be there.

The Catholic religious profession was beautiful, but what stayed with us most was what these sisters were willing to give up for Jesus—and the question their witness poses to every Catholic: Is becoming a saint truly the goal of my life, and what am I willing to give up to get there?
