Jesus on the River | Highlights from the Historic Fête-Dieu du Mississippi
On August 14–15, 2024, history was made as the Blessed Sacrament traveled 130 miles down the Mississippi River in the first-ever Fête-Dieu du Mississippi, a breathtaking Eucharistic procession from Baton Rouge to New Orleans.
This video captures the powerful moments of adoration, prayer, and reverence as a 14-foot monstrance, a floating church, and a flotilla of faithful boats brought the Real Presence of Jesus Christ to the heart of Louisiana. Thousands lined the streets to adore the Eucharist as it passed by, joining in revival talks, rosaries, and public prayer. Incense filled the air, bells rang out, and communities came together in joyful reverence to welcome Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament to their towns and parishes.
Born from the bayous of Louisiana and tied to the National Eucharistic Revival, this two-day procession was a bold public witness of faith—uniting clergy, laity, and civic leaders in praise and thanksgiving.
🎥 Relive the beauty. Rediscover the Real Presence.
