Why does Jesus sometimes feel absent? This reflection draws from the story of Mary Magdalene at the tomb on Easter morning. Her persistence in seeking Christ, even in sorrow and confusion, becomes a model for our own prayer life. Fr. Gavan encourages us to keep seeking the Lord through dry spells and doubt, trusting in Jesus’ promise: “Seek and you will find.” The reward of that seeking is always a deeper, more personal encounter with the risen Christ.
