Every year, around 2,000 pilgrims follow the historic Seven Churches Pilgrimage first revived by St. Philip Neri in 1552. Visiting St. Peter's Basilica, St. Paul Outside the Walls, St. John Lateran, St. Mary Major and three other ancient basilicas, pilgrims pray through the night while reflecting on Christ's Passion, the seven virtues, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the journey toward heaven.
