In a show of defiance against President Trump, Republican lawmakers in Indiana voted down a bill that would have eliminated Indiana’s two Democratic-held seats in the U.S. House. This marks a major blow not just to President Trump, but also to Vice President J.D. Vance, who visited the state multiple times ahead of the vote to discuss mid-cycle redistricting with Republican leaders.
