Thousands of young people came from all over the world to Rome for the Jubilee of Youth, July 28 to Aug. 3, roaming the streets and visiting the eternal city. But one young man was present in another way. The remains of 24-year-old Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who will be canonized Sept. 7, were brought from his tomb in Turin to Rome’s Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva to be close to the young people church officials hope he will continue to inspire.
