The Jubilee of Families, the 16th major Jubilee event, kicked off in Rome and is expected to draw over 60,000 pilgrims from 120 countries for the weekend. Thousands made pilgrimages to the Holy Doors of Rome’s papal basilicas, celebrating the family and recognizing the unique roles played by children and grandparents. Pilgrims shared stories of tradition and unity, while global movements like the Children’s Rosary highlight the importance of prayer in family life. Three days of events are planned for the occasion, including attractions, prayer, and celebration, culminating with Pope Leo XIV presiding over Sunday Mass in St. Peter’s Square. EWTN Vatican journalist Valentina Di Donato has more.
