Pope Francis reached out to the faithful requesting prayers for the victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquake. The Vatican has sent telegrams to the papal ambassadors with the Pope's deepest condolences to all those who are suffering. A Catholic priest is among those who was killed in the earthquakes. Father Imad Daher, a school chaplain in the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, was found under the rubble. Father Imad was visiting the home of former Archbishop of Aleppo when the quakes hit. Editor in Chief of ACI Mena, the association for Catholic information in the Middle East and North Africa, Rody Sher, joins to share the latest with us. Sher's apartment is only about 2 hours from the border with Turkey. His apartment was shaking and he tells us what was on his mind and whether they are still experiencing aftershocks. Sadly the death toll is already topping 2,000 souls and will likely continue to rise. Sher discusses Fr. Imad Daher more. Catholic News Agency, owned by EWTN, also has a reporter stationed in Turkey. Sher has been in contact with her and explains how she is doing and what she has reported to him.
