Today, the Church celebrates two very different men on the same feast day: St. Peter and St. Paul.
Peter was the rock who guarded the faith. Paul was the missionary who carried the Gospel to the nations. Different gifts. Different missions. One Church.
That’s one of the beautiful truths of Catholicism: it’s rarely an either/or. More often, it’s a both/and.
As I prepare for the release of my upcoming book, Prophets and Guardians, I hope you’ll join me in rediscovering the richness of our Catholic faith and learning why the Church has always needed both guardians who faithfully preserve the truth and prophets who boldly proclaim it.
