What would our faith be without a binding Creed? It would be a hodgepodge of beliefs that could contradict each other. Right doctrine, on the other hand, clarifies thought and leads to proper action.

This year marks the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, which was convened by Emperor Constantine and led to the definition of much of the current Creed in rejection of the Arian heresy.

In times of faith crisis, we sing the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed to thank God for giving us this wonderful faith.
