When tragedy strikes — even in the midst of prayer — many ask: Where is God?
In this video, we look at Bishop Barron’s response to the recent Minnesota Catholic tragedy. As children were praying during Mass, evil struck. And when faith was under attack, Bishop Barron reminded the world of the Cross, of Christian hope, and of the power of prayer in times of suffering.

Far from being “useless,” prayer is both a lifeline and the foundation for real action. Bishop Barron explains why the Catholic understanding of prayer makes sense in moments of crisis, and why Catholics can never lose hope even in the darkest times.
We also reflect on Scripture chosen for that very day — “Lord, you search me and you know me” and “I know the plans I have for you, plans for your welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).
In tragedy, God has not abandoned us. He is planting the seeds of new life.
🙏 Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
